Tooth Enamel and Baking Soda
« on: May 15, 2007, 08:30:37 AM »
Does anyone know for sure that brushing your teeth with baking soda doesn't wear down the enamel? My dentist says I have thin enamel anyway, so I need to know for sure that brushing with BS is OK. Thank you.

That flavored stuff your dentist uses to polish your teeth with -- the paste he puts on his polishing tool -- is baking soda. I asked mine.

I use baking soda each day and follow with oil pulling at night. My dental hygienist said that she sees a marked difference (for the better) in my teeth and the other patients she sees.
