I don't think I ever shared my story! I had a great experience and would recommend the dentist I used to anyone - even if you had to travel to get to her! We have no insurance, so we paid out of pocket. It cost $750 which was a bargain compared to what others charge.
She had specialized training through IAOMT and was certified for safe mercury removal. She was absolutely the best dentist I have ever been to. SO professional, caring, immaculately clean and detail oriented. I could go on and on. She was a HUGE blessing! Plus, this was the first time that I’ve been in a dentist's office where I wasn't sneered at for not using fluoride!

She offered full "protocol" to those who were concerned about mercury poisoning during the removal. How could someone NOT be concerned?!
Needless to say, I got the full protocol!!

I think I'm forgetting some things, but the main protocol things were:
-swishing with and swallowing liquid charcoal
-my own constant air supply during the whole procedure
- a special machine with a hose positioned right by my mouth that sucked mercury vapors as they came out.
I had all 3 of my amalgams removed and replaced with the white stuff. I think these precautions did their job because I've had no ill effects whatsoever since having them removed, and it's been a year this month since I had it done.
Has anyone else had these precautions with their mercury removal?
I was very numb on one side of my mouth for a while, though. The dentist said the healthier you are, the longer it will take for the numbness to wear off. Anyone ever hear of that? She said that in unhealthy people it takes an hour or two for the numbness to wear off. But in healthy people it would take 3 or more hours. Mine took 4 hours.

She told me to be sure to soak for an hour in an Epsom salt bath every night for two weeks to help chelate any remaining mercury. So I did that as well as taking spirulina and chlorella like crazy for a couple months.
I'm so glad they are OUT and so thankful for the people and info on wtm who led me to getting them out!

ETA, I just remembered that the xray machines she used were digital which only had HALF the radiation that regular ones did.
