Fungus in finger
« on: May 18, 2011, 10:18:38 AM »
Hello!  I would like to know if anyone has any natural remedies for fighting a fungus that came from either planting a rose bush or cleaning a fish tank in a finger.  It has traveled up the arm a little bit and the lymph nodes are inflamed.  They thought it was cellulitis, but it wasn't getting better and then sent him to the infectious disease doctor who immediately after seeing the finger asked if he had cleaned a fish tank recently or done anything with roses, both of which he has done in the last month.  We would like to start treating it naturally while they grow the fungus and find out exactly what it is.  My husband has been eating raw garlic (6 cloves a day), treating the areas on his skin with tea tree oil, and drinking a tea with cinnamon and turmeric in it.  The doctor said that there are a lot of side effects to the medicine to treat this and he will be on it for 3-6 months.  She said if you can treat it naturally it would be better.  So does anyone have any remedies that have worked for them?  Thank you!
