Help!! Can I Make Salve With Dried Herbs!
« on: October 26, 2010, 08:48:28 AM »
                     Hey everyone,

I have a question about making salve! Can I use dried herbs to make my salve?  I don't really have anyway of getting fresh herbs. Will the dried herbs make it not as strong? I would appreciate any help I can get!! Thanks!!!

I always use dried herbs for my salves. In fact, someone told me that if you use fresh herbs, you want to let them dry out for a few days, or your salve could get moldy. HTH  :)

I always use dried herbs as well.  I just put them in a canning jar, fill the jar with whatever oil i want to use, and put them in the crockpot on warm for 3 days to infuse the oil.  Easy and comes out great :)

Hope that helps :)
