Using Eden Salve for diaper rash with cloth diapers?
« on: February 05, 2010, 11:47:10 AM »
I know that most cloth diapers say not to use any diaper rash cream with them because it will affect the absorbancy of the diaper.  I'm wondering if Eden Salve is ok to use with cloth diapers.  It's the best thing we've found for quickly healing a diaper rash, but I'm new to cloth diapers and wondering if I can use it with them.  thanks for any advice

I wouldn't use the salve directly against the cloth diapers.

Do you have any old t-shirts/sheets/hankerchiefs that you can cut into bits to put in between the bum and the diaper?  Then you can throw the t-shirt bits away or wash them separately and you've prevented most of the goo from getting on those diapers.

We've done that quite a bit.

I've used Eden Salve on my cloth-diapered baby's bum with no problems.
