Soap making book recommendation?
« on: October 14, 2009, 02:50:02 PM »
Hi there!

I've always wanted to learn how to make soap & I was thinking it would be fun to try it out for Christmas gifts this year.

Does anyone have recommendations for a really good, simple book explaining the basics of soapmaking?

Thanks!

Actually I was just drooling over one at the bulk herb store called "The Natural Soap Book".  It looks like a good one, though I have never read it. But I have found that books sold by the BHS are generally a good choice. I have gotten a few they sell and they were all excellent.

Thank you ladies!

I figured there had to be a soap-making thread on here, I just couldn't find it.

And that book looks GREAT!  Thanks for that suggestion!

Off to go read the soapmaking thread...
