LIPS - desperate for help!!
« on: December 09, 2008, 10:38:58 AM »
My 17 year old daughter suffers continual, excrutiating, burning pain in her lips. Three doctors and a specialist have not not diagnosed the cause, or offered a way to alleviate pain.  We eat the Sally Fallon way.  Daughter was fairly recently diagnosed with deep seated lyme and other tik related diseases.

This lip pain has been going on for four years, since age 13.  The amount of pain/burning varies but we can't detect a rhyme or reason.  Very rarely, she'll have a day or two break from it but, again, we don't know why.  Breaks from pain never come in the winter (we live in the midwest).

The pain is worse now than ever before.  Sunday night she was so tired from exhausting day but could not sleep for the pain.

Can someone out there who help me help my precious daughter, please? :-\
I am desperate to help my sweet girl. :'(

From what you said I googled Lip burning and found the first two sites then googled lymes and came up with the third.
When I read the first two I kept noticing nerve implications and the third verifies that lymes may have been the cause, having said this I'm curious if this would best be treated as one would autoimmune? (GAPS diet?)
And with lymes I would also consider blood purifying herbs.
But the most simple thing that immediatly popped into my head is a pinched nerve, maybe an adjustment would help?
Just my meek thoughts.
DD 5yo---Mom, I think we should take a camera with us when we go to Heaven, it'll be so beautiful up there.

My first thought was also to link this to Lyme.  What are you doing to treat the Lyme disease?  Our daughter has had chronic Lyme for 7 years and suffered much.  Her doctor recently said, "It's gone."   We are rejoicing here!

Anyway, I know that the bacteria and the parasites that live with it can colonize in nerves and cause pain and nerve damage anywhere in the body.

Here is a link to more information on this forum;,169.0.html

and here's a link to some interesting information about Lyme Disease;

Happy researching!
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;    Titus 2:13
