I am making my own contract ease
"Contract Ease (Cramp bark, Wild yam, Black haw, Scullcap, Valerian root, Hops, Chamomile, Fennel, and Catnip) This is a potent antispasmodic formula that is particularly of benefit after childbirth to ease the uterine cramps (afterbirth pains)"

Does anyone have the book "Natrually Healthy Pregnancy? If so could you look up "Contract Ease"

I am wondering about the aprox proportions of these herbs

ie) is it 3 parts Cramp bark, 2 parts wild yam or ????

Anyone have any suggestions or experience with using herbs for afterbirth nursing cramps?

I'd like to avoid Tylenol and Advil this time.

Thanks

I just checked in my copy (I have the third edition which is the most recent, I think) and it doesn't have the proportions listed. Just says: the formula contains: black haw, valerian, skullcap, hops, chamomile, fennel and catnip.  :-\ Maybe someone else knows something more.
