Mixed tinctures

There are recipes for alcohol tinctures and for Glycerine tinctures on the Bulk Herb Store website.  The methods for making them are very different.  I have see it mentioned several times that people use half vodca and have glycerine.  What is the recipe for doing a mixed tincture?  Or do you have to make two seperate tintures and mix?  That would be kind of complicated, I think.
