I found out about Mineral makeups, but is there such thing as mineral facial skincare?  I would like to change my makeups to Mineral makeups but if I still use my facial skincare like cleanser, toner and moisturizer with bad stuff in it, what good does it do to change make up to Mineral, right? or does it matter?

Using the mineral makeup along with whatever skin care will be an improvement from most makeup brands out there.

I like to wash my face with honey or homemade moisturizing soap.  My motto is the simpler the better. :)

There are a lot of natural skincare products out there.    Like the above posts mention even honey and other things you have in your kitchen are good.   Check out shoshanna's site she has some good suggestions.

When you buy facial skincare, you usually get "cleanser" "toner" and "moisturizer", as basics right.  Do we really need all those three?  I will check Shoshanna's website, thank you!

I'm lazy when it comes to skin care.  They should have never advertized that you can sleep in mineral makeup.   :D  It saves a step the next morning...Ha ha!

I guess it depends on your skin type, but I don't use all three.  I use a very mild soap to wash my face, and my favorite moisturizer is Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.  There are a lot of ways to do things more naturally, and it can be way cheaper too!  Check the library for books on natural hair and body books...there are a lot of them out there.  And there are a lot of recipes and ideas here as well!

There are a lot of skin care lines that have a 5 step process!   Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Lotion.   That is a lot and I don't use all that but have in the past.  My skin is OLD and while I did use it I think I saw a great improvement but I have cut down to just cleanser, toner (on occasion) and lotion.   I am still looking for a cleanser that I like because even our home made soap seems to drying to me.   I made my own toner from Witch Hazel and Lemongrass Oil and am also using my homemade lotion as face cream.  Otherwise it is coconut oil.    The more you read and research the more you will realize you can get by without buying extra stuff and use what you have or make something to suit your skin.   Have fun.
