Enema Colon Cleanse - What to put IN it?
« on: February 18, 2007, 11:43:35 AM »
I'm interested in doing a colon cleanse since my home test for bloody stools came back negative (eventhough I still see it occasionally :-\). Plus I read in the How to Herb Book that if you have mucus in your sinuses you likely have it all the way through . . . I've been paying closer attention and I do have it all the way through!! My sinuses have been plugged for years (I can not even smell :().

My question, then, is what do I put in the enema? I don't want to de-tox (athought I'd like to) as I'm nursing a 7 month old, but I really want to cleanse.

Why would you use:
Mineral Water
Sea Salt
Garlic
Coffee
other Herbs

Thanks for your help - and I'm sure I'll have more questions!

These are a few suggestions for use during an acute sickness or chronic illness:

Garlic Enema(general sickness, illness, and disease)
Catnip Enema(fevers and sickness malaise)
Catnip/Lobelia(mumps in males)
Catnip/Garlic(Double action fighting solution LOL)
Cayenne(never done it.  sounds painful)
Slippery Elm(Diarrhea, hemorrhoids, colitis)
Aloe Vera(Hemorrhoids, colon healing)
wheatgrass(cancer and other chronic illnesses)

These you can use during a cleanse/fast:

Coffee(stimulates liver to purge toxins)
Lemon Juice(clears excess fecal matter and restores colons pH level)
whey enema(good for those who have had repeated antibiotic usage)
wheatgrass enema

I haven't heard of the lemon juice enema.  It seems very acidic.  Do you dilute it?

I knew that I should have put the recipes to these! LOL!  :D
Actually, lemon juice and orange juice are acidic at first but are very alkaline once in the body.

Here is the recipe:

Add the juice of three lemons to 2 quarts of luke warm water.  If desired, add an additional 2 TBSP of liquid kelp to boost the mineral content of the solution.  Place all solution in an enema bag.

Thanks for the recipe.  What makes the acid turn to alkaline in the body?  Does it happen with all the foods that you eat?  Just curious.

WARNING - CURVE AHEAD!!  :o  Tangent from the topic -

In an Above Rubies magazine article about a year ago there was an awesome article about fresh lemon juice and helping migraine headache's. Reason: most of us have too acidic systems and the lemon juice makes it more alkaline.   Couldn't you just suck on a battery :o ;D  Teasing of course!!

Above Rubies is an awesomely wonderful FREE magazine that's published in 8 countries and is designed to encourage moms to be the wife and mom that God made us to be. It's awesome!  AboveRubies.com

I am not sure the EXACT scientific details as to how it happens, but the following is a chart of acid to alkaline foods and citrus is under the "alkaline" category.  HTH

That web site is awesome!  Thanks for posting it.  I have never thought about the pH of my food before.
