  Need help with Soy Allergies

About 6 or more years ago, I decided to try to be healthy, and to start by drinking soy shakes I had seen on TV.  My son was then on Soy milk due to problems with cow's milk, I wish I knew then what I know now.  Anyway, I tasted that smelly soy milk, about a TEASPOON only, and immediately began to have a reaction.  After a night of talking on the phone with Poison Control, my nurse friend, taking extra doses of Benadryl, and sleeping for hours, I learned that I may NEVER be able to have SOY again because I had such a reaction.
Since I have spent many hours and days and weeks learning to live without it.  I have learned a LOT of the negatives of soy and have to be very careful.

HAVE any of you ever had any problems with soy?

Do you have any suggestions for finding vitamins and other supplements that do NOT contain SOY?

Do you know anyway to reverse this situation so that I don't have these food allergies and sensitivities anymore.

I absolutely cannot have ANY legumes in anything at all....it just keeps getting worse.
My children take riding lessons and I have to sit in the car now, after two years, because I can't be anywhere near the horses, but I hope, maybe it is the hay.  Alflafa, clover and other plants have to be avoided.  My dh even cut down a tree in our backyard because of this legume allergy.

ANY thoughts, ideas, or suggestions, or leads to learn more about this terribly annoying allergy?

I also have some type of ORAL allergy syndrome to many fruits, nuts, raw potatoes, and veggies (raw).
I hoped I could do some type of complete cleansing to make my body NO longer react to these things.

Thank you so much,
In CHRIST

Rebekah wrote that the master cleanse might be helpful in cleansing the body and getting "rid" of the allergies that came on you as an adult.
Healthybratt will supply the link.   Wink  or you can just type in Master cleanse and read in that thread.

Hi InChrist!  i havent' had trouble with soy, just beef, corn, dairy, eggs, etc.  well, i was going to try to put a link here to some other stuff i wrote about food allergies, which i've had lots of experience with but couldn't figure out how!  so i am gonna paste something here that i wrote.  i do believe the master cleanse would help and some of the flushed Rebeka (beeyoutiful) talks about, but here is the route i am taking.  i am also thinking about doing a juicing fast as soon as i'm done nursing.  here's one of my other posts.  feel free to contact me (email) if you want extra help.

"i was found to have food allergies about a year ago.  for about 10 months (through 1/2 a pregnancy and breastfeeding) i totally stayed away from my allergens (dairy, beef, corn, eggs, bananas and mushrooms) which after some work was an enjoyable diet, though very time consuming!  then Conner was born (june 05) and like my other babies screamed from digestive discomfort.  it was frustrating because i was hopeful through the whole pregnancy that after staying away from all those things i would have a happy content baby.  i tried to figure out what was causing his crying (i was still staying away from the allergens) and of course it broke my heart that he was in so much pain.  my sypmtoms are digestive, just can't digest the foods.  also had to stay away from refined sugar, white flour products, beans and several other things.  i tried many different supplements, probiotics, etc. for him and myself.  long story shortened, he has somewhat outgrown it, i have had weekly accupuncture since before Christmas and that has helped quite a lot.  i have been using Primal Defense powder (Garden of Life) (working up from 1/8 of a scoop very slowly) and that with the accupuncture is working well and i feel like i will completely recover from it. i believe that the accupuncture really increases the effectiveness of any supplements i take.  it is not real painful though it can hurt a bit (but we are all mothers here!  it's nothing like childbirth  )i decided that i wasn't willing to live out the rest of my life (i'm 34) tip-toeing around foods and not being able to eat socially whatever was being served.  i decided there had to be a way i could eat normally and not suffer ill effects from it.  i am doing quite well, now and plan to work up the 12/day dosage of PD for 90 days or more and see where that leads me, though i probably won't go that far while nursing.  i have also recently begun to add in SuperMom starting with 1/2 caplet which seems to really give me an energy boost which i was low on.  i don't know if any of this helps, but thought i would share my situation.  i felt soooo alone while going through the majority of this, like i was the only one in the world with these sort of problems. (besides my sister who doesn't live near me, but we have been through it together) i was often depressed about it and especially because i was still having to cook to please my family who wasn't interested in most of what i was eating.  i had eliminated so many of the foods i enjoyed it was downright depressing!  so i totally know how you feel!  good luck on your journey of finding what will work for you!"
